Key specs:

  • 10.2MP CCD sensor
  • Sony A-mount
  • Super SteadyShot in-body image stabilization
  • 2.7-inch LCD screen
  • ISO 100-3200

Includes:

  • Sony DT 18-70mm f/3.5-5.6 lens (everyday wide-to-short-tele)
  • Sony 75-300mm f/4.5-5.6 lens (telephoto reach)
  • Battery, charger, and 4GB card

The A200 was Sony's approachable entry into DSLRs, inheriting Minolta's A-mount system after Sony took over the camera line. Its standout feature is in-body image stabilisation - meaning every lens you mount is stabilised, including both of these, which is a real advantage over Canon/Nikon systems where stabilisation lives in the lens.

Lens system:

Skill Level: Beginner/Easy

  • No prior camera knowledge needed
  • Point and shoot - camera does everything
  • Perfect for learning film photography basics
