Bigger than A1, panoramic, or a shape that's on no list anywhere? The fine art printer runs off a roll, so we cut to size — long panoramas at one end, locket photos at the other. Bring the file in and we'll price it with you.

Printing a lot? It gets cheaper.
Every size drops in price once you order a few. You do not need to ask for it or enter a code — the price changes in the cart as soon as you reach the next break, and we charge the same in store.

Prices are per print and count across the whole order, not per image — twenty different photos at 6x4 is still the 20+ price, and gloss and matt count together. A3, A2 and A1 wide format are priced individually and are not part of these breaks.

How big is that, really?
Photo sizes are named in inches and paper sizes in millimetres, which is no help when you're standing in front of an empty frame. Both are here — and if the size you need isn't, we cut custom.

Only 6×4 and 8×12 are the same shape as most cameras (3:2). Every other size has to crop something off or leave a border — we'll show you which before we print.
A whole roll at once
Upload them all, collect in store
Adding forty prints to a cart one at a time is nobody's idea of a good afternoon. Upload the whole lot in one go instead, pick gloss or matt, and collect them at the counter — same day on most orders.

Canvas
Canvas, stretched over New Zealand pine
Not the fashion it once was, and we're glad — it means the ones we make now are for photographs that earn the wall. Printed on the same Epson with Epson canvas inks, then stretched and wrapped by hand over a New Zealand pine frame. Made to order, in whatever size suits the space.

Common questions
How do I get my photos to you?
Bring them in on a phone, memory card or USB stick and we'll print at the counter, or upload them at printnz.photos before you come in. Old prints, slides and negatives can be scanned first — that's under Services.
How long does it take?
The everyday sizes are about an hour, and most online orders are same-day. Fine art prints take longer — they're printed one at a time and checked before they leave, so allow a couple of days or ask us when you order.
Will my photo get cropped?
Sometimes it has to be. A phone photo isn't the same shape as a 6×4, so something has to give — we'll either crop it or leave a small white border, whichever you prefer. Tell us at the counter and we'll show you before we print.
Is my photo big enough to print large?
Usually, yes — most phones from the last few years will do A3 comfortably. For A2 and A1 we'll check the file first and tell you honestly if it won't hold up at that size rather than sell you a soft print.
Can you print a size that isn’t on this list?
Yes, and we do it often. The fine art printer runs off a roll, so the length is up to you — stitched panoramas, squares, tall thin prints for a stairwell. At the other end we cut locket and wallet photos, and inserts for frames with odd openings.
