Minolta XG-2 + 50mm f/1.7
The gateway drug to real photography.

The XG-2 is a beautifully built 35mm SLR from Minolta’s golden age — paired here with a sharp, fast 50mm f/1.7 lens that’s perfect for portraits, street shooting, or just showing off your depth of field skills. Full manual control when you want it, aperture priority when you don’t.

Meter works in auto mode, but not in manual — so it’s still totally usable, especially if you like to trust your gut (or a phone app). Classic build, crisp shutter, and that satisfying film advance you didn’t know you missed.

In good condition, tested and working. Battery not included. Just add 35mm film and start shooting like it’s 1979.

As always we fully film test all our 35mm & 120 film cameras sold.

NOTE: As this is a second-hand item we offer a no questions asked- two-month guarantee. Simply return it and we will arrange a refund or replacement.

Minolta was a Japanese camera and optics maker founded in 1928, credited with launching the world's first integrated autofocus SLR system, the Maxxum and Dynax series, in 1985. After merging with Konica in 2003, the combined company sold its camera business to Sony in 2006, and Minolta's lens mount and technology live on today in Sony's Alpha camera system.
