A complete manual-focus 35mm SLR outfit from the mid-80s - camera, fast prime, motor winder, flash, databack, and a spare standard back, ready to shoot.

Key specs:

  • Aperture-priority auto and manual exposure
  • Chinon 50mm f/1.9 standard lens
  • Pentax K-mount compatible
  • Built-in light meter
  • Shutter speeds to 1/1000s + B

Included in the kit:

  • Chinon CP-5 body
  • Chinon 50mm f/1.9 standard lens
  • Chinon Power Winder (motorised film advance)
  • Sunpak SP170 flash
  • DP-520 databack (imprints data onto the frame)
  • Spare standard back (non-databack)

The CP-5 is a capable Chinon SLR offering both aperture-priority auto and full manual control, so it's easy to shoot on auto or take the reins when you want to. K-mount compatibility opens up a huge range of Pentax and third-party lenses. The 50mm f/1.9 is a lovely fast standard lens - great for low light, portraits, and everyday shooting with nice subject separation.

This one's a proper complete setup: the power winder gives you automatic film advance for faster shooting, the Sunpak SP170 flash covers low light, and the DP-520 databack lets you imprint data onto your frames. It even includes a spare standard (non-databack) back, so you can swap to a plain back whenever you'd rather shoot without the imprint.

Lens system: Pentax K mount

50mm f/1.9

Warranty: 2 Months from purchase

All second-hand film cameras sold at Camera House NZ come with a 2 month warranty when they've been film tested by us.

Our 2 month warranty covers mechanical and electronic failures that occur during normal use. If something goes wrong with your camera during this period, bring it back and we'll sort it out.

This warranty reflects our confidence in the cameras we sell and our commitment to getting you out shooting with reliable equipment. We've been in the photography business since 1953, and we stand behind the gear we sell.

Guarantee: Film Tested

We put a roll of film through each camera to verify that the shutter, film advance, and light meter (where fitted) are working correctly. This real-world testing ensures you're getting a camera that's ready to shoot, not just one that looks good on the shelf.
