Praktica is a camera brand with roots in Dresden, Germany dating back to 1949, once one of the biggest names in East German SLR cameras. Camera production ceased after German reunification, and the Praktica name is now owned by a British company producing digital cameras, binoculars and photographic accessories under the historic brand.
